Doc Rivers Guarantees The Eagles Will Be In The Super Bowl, Which Will Surely In No Way Whatsoever Backfire

There are a few areas of expertise which I will always leave to Doc Rivers. Being uncontrollably horny on Twitter. Failing to lead the Sixers past the 2nd round of the playoffs. Those sort of things.

Where Doc Rivers' expertise ends, however, is once you start getting into other sports. Especially when we're dealing with the team across the street from him at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles have a great thing going this season, albeit the past few games while Jalen Hurts has been out with his shoulder injury. Aside from these past 2 weeks, it would be hard for this Eagles season to be going any better.

And that's why I cannot for the life of me understand why Doc Rivers would go out of his way to try to ruin that with this quote.

I mean what the fuck, Glenn? Maybe stick to making some lofty goals for your own team instead of trying to set your neighbors up for failure. What on Earth could possibly be achieved with that other than the fact that you just jinxed the Eagles straight to hell? The selfishness of this man is unfathomable.

You have to be able to see what's going on here. The Sixers have won 10 out of their last 12 games. Things are going pretty well for them right now. And Doc Rivers can't stand that nobody gives a shit about the Sixers right now. He's tired of the Eagles constantly overshadowing the team and not helping him make his case against being fired. So he goes out and mushes the shit out of the Eagles strictly for his own gain. Deplorable behavior, if you ask me.

The good news is that it seems like Jalen Hurts will be back the rest of the way. And that young man's work ethic and approach to the game is borderline unmushable. He shows up to work, motivates everybody else around him to play to the best of their potential, and disregard any outside noise. Thank god for Jalen Hurts. But if the Eagles end up embarrassing themselves with an early exit from the playoffs this year, we now know exactly who to blame. Unbelievable.
